Dartmouth General Hospital
The Dartmouth General Hospital is an integral part of QEll Redevelopment project. The expansion involves adding space for 48 more inpatient beds and doubling the number of operating rooms from 4 to 8. As a result, about 3,500 more surgeries will be performed in Dartmouth every year, and less interrupted care. This is in addition to renovations to the 3rd and 4th floors which is now complete.

New additions to the QEII redevelopment project will be energy efficient by meeting a high energy-efficient standard called a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating. This approach will minimize the amount of energy used and energy costs throughout the life of these buildings. We are targeting a LEED gold rating for all new additions in this project.
