New additions to the QEII redevelopment project will be energy efficient by meeting a high energy-efficient standard called a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating. This approach will minimize the amount of energy used and energy costs throughout the life of these buildings. We are targeting a LEED gold rating for all new additions in this project. Fall 2016

Health care needs are evolving and it’s time to change the way we deliver care. Work has begun to upgrade and renovate QEII facilities to better serve Nova Scotians for the next 50 years.

Our plan is thoughtful and innovative —focused on making our health care system stronger to ensure the needs of Nova Scotians remain at the heart of everything we do.

There will be opportunities for the public to stay informed and engaged in this exciting project.
